Socio-economic Development
We support socio-economic development and encourage upliftment in the communities within which we operate. Our comprehensive CSI Policy outlines our approach to supporting programmes that encourage self sufficiency and sustainable wealth creation. Our business units are required to contribute 1% of net profit after tax to CSI beneficiaries as approved in terms of this policy.

The policy sets out the formal motivation process whereby applications for assistance are channeled through the managing directors of each business unit.
Some recent examples include:
  • We have a longstanding relationship with The Field Band Foundation where we assist the Foundation financially and donate employee time to assist with management.
  • In October 2010 Stefanutti Stocks Structures business unit donated R94 000 to Kohin, a South African organisation that seeks to empower the youth of South Africa.
  • In October 2010 Stefanutti Stocks Building KZN donated R20 000 to the Open-Air School, which is to be put towards their wheelchair fund.
  • In September 2010 Stefanutti Stocks Civils contributed R75 000 to the Mamelodi After School Programme. (an initiative of the University of Pretoria).
  • Since 2007 Stefanutti Stocks Group has supported the Sinathemba Hope House in Johannesburg.
  • Each year the business units in the Group participate in the CANSA Shavathon, raising funds for Cancer Association of South Africa.
  • In October 2009 Stefanutti Stocks Roads & Earthworks, together with TSK Projects, launched a Road Construction Learnership outreach in Bethal, where 15 individuals will qualify in a National Certificate in Roads Construction NQF Level 2 over a one-year period.
